The recovery of the former workshop of the Cacheuta – Potrerillos Tunnel for the development of a tourism service hub.
The complex counts with a building to be intervened for its exploitation, located on the Cacheuta region on Provincial Route 82, 50 Km away from the City of Mendoza and 4 Km away from Potrerillos Dam.
The recovery of the building is proposed for the development of a tourism service hub articulated with Cacheuta Village; the thermal complex and Potrerillos Lake. The site’s characteristics will enable the development of new gastronomy; accommodation; and adventure tourism offers.
It is strategically located on Provincial Route 82 that then connects with the High Mountain Route corridor towards Puente del Inca; Aconcagua Provincial Park; and the connection with Chile.
It is part of the High Andes Natural Route that goes through part of the Andes Mountain Range and attracts climbers and mountaineers from all over the world every year. Furthermore, it offers countless experiences for traditional travelers, going across roads of great beauty in which nature merges with history and culture. It is characterized mainly by wine tourism; snow; adventure tourism and astronomic tourism; among others.
