The purpose of the Caburé-I Natural Reserve is to promote the exchange of information for the management and preservation of the environment, foster environmental education focusing on the importance of the Paraná forest and the development of ecotourism.
The development of tourist accommodation and gastronomy. Currently, the reserve represents a true picture of Misiones biodiversity, directly integrated into the urban area of the municipality and free of occupants. It has a detachment of park rangers, in addition to old disused tourist facilities of the glamping sites type, such as the area that includes the reception, the restaurant and restrooms. The province offers public land without buildings in a tourist scenario, with a surface of 53 ha for its awarding. In order to carry out any of these activities, some requirements must be met to be compatible with the environment, ensure natural and landscape conditions of the area with minimum intervention of the surface, thus enhancing the forest area.
The Natural Reserve is near Iguazú National Park, the most visited destination in Argentina. It is associated with the Natural Route of the Paraná Forest, where Puerto Iguazú is one of the main gateways, and the end or beginning of different circuits connecting more than one attraction.
