Formosa

Forests, bogs, rivers, palm groves and grasslands
are the stunning landscapes of the province.

The deep roads of the Paraguay River beckon travelers to visit wild places where it is possible to meet wildlife, watch birds and enjoy cultural and rural tourism.

The City of Formosa has a beautiful promenade and is the gateway to El Bañado La Estrella, one of the largest wetlands in South America; and the Río Pilcomayo National Park.

Besides, the town of San Francisco de Laishi offers a historical heritage connected to the Franciscans and the remains of the Franciscan Missions, National Historical Monument; and in the area of Ingeniero Juárez lie the Formosa Natural Reserve, the Riacho Teuquito Biosphere Reserve and the indigenous peoples’ craft tours (Qom, Wichi and Pilagá).
